0.6 μm TC Size Tungsten Carbide Rod Blank 310 mm with 10% CO HIPPed
by Sintering Furnace
Description:
Cemented carbide is a kind of alloy material which is produced by
powder metallurgy techniques. It consists of wear resistant
particles (hard phase WC) and binder agent Cobalt (ductile phase).
Our tunsten carbide rods are made of optimum quality raw material
WC and Cobalt. Powders are intensively mixed together according to
desired ratio and subsequently processed with kneading and
extrusion, producing rod form under a certain press. Then HIP
sintering process were employed to consolidate whole
microstructure, eliminating unwanted porosity.
Specification:

Competitive Advantage:
Quality can be taken for granted. We have been producing tungsten powder, tungsten carbide powder
for 11 years, being famous for its quality and winning high
reputation within China, thus each pre-process for making solid
rods is clearly and strictly monitored. Consequantly, the quality
of solid TC rods is guaranteed to be high and stable.
Comparing to high speed steel, tungsten carbide consists of natural
hard and stable phase, and practically doesn’t lose any level of
its high hardness when heating up. However, the high hardness of
HSS is only in a result of quenching process during which hard
phase nucleates & grows. It breaks down easily when annealing.
Therefore, carbide tools last significantly longer than HSS. In addition, carbide tools allow for faster machining and can
also withstand higher temperatures than standard high speed steel
tools.
